95% of the Djiboutians are Muslims (Islamic).  But about ten-thousand people in Djibouti are Catholic.  The Islamic beliefs are deeply rooted in Afar and Somali society.  The Islamic and Christian beliefs also relate to believing in the immortality of the soul, by either going to heaven, or going to hell, according to the merits of and a person's life.  In Islamic countries like Djibouti, there is no choice of cremation when someone dies, there is only a burial.  This is Islamic religion afterall.

This is the symbol for Allah, the Islamic god.

What is the religion of Islam?

Islam is an Abrahamic religion put into words by the Qur'an, a very religious text considered by its Islamic members to be the exact word of Allah, their god.  For the vast majority of members, by the teachings, they believe that Allah is the last prophet of God.  A member of Islam is called a Muslim.
